The ancestor of today´s Kronans was the m/42 military bike used by the Swedish army from the 1940s and produced by various national manufacturers. It was a massive steel frame vehicle, equipped with a single speed coaster break hub and a weight just under that of a tank. The bikes went trough the conversion from uniform to university - and the Kronan means “crown” was born.
Reviewers all over the world praise Kronans for their comfort and robustness, while agreeing that the weight of 26kg might be a challenge for some cyclists without sound military training.
Highly appreciated as simple, robust, reliable.
On top of all this, the bike has been serviced by a professional mechanic.
