This doppio was built for two.
The Classico v4 Connected is a two-person bike from the drawing board on: load capacity up to 180 kg, a handmade XL Buddyseat instead of a plank, footrests for your passenger and a long rear rack rated for 25 kg. The person behind you sits properly, rather than perching on an edge.
And it is legal. Pedal assist up to 25 km/h, start assist up to 5 km/h, no throttle: no licence plate, no helmet requirement, no insurance and no roadside discussions. That is the trouble derestricted 35 km/h import fatbikes bring with them. For a bike you lend to your family, it counts double.
Three kinds of ride in one bike.
In the city: the Boost button. At the lights you pull away first, even with someone on the back, because the Bafang rear hub motor delivers 80 Nm. And while you wait you put both feet flat on the ground, so there is no hopping on and off at every junction.
Off the road: not the standard tyres. In December 2023 doppio itself fitted off-road outer tyres — all-weather, € 239.80 for the pair. Sand, grass, forest tracks and kerbs stop being a subject, in winter too.
On bad surfaces: under those tyres sits the thick Armour Layer anti-puncture belt, fitted by the dealer in the same visit. Exactly what you want against city glass and broken asphalt.
Three batteries and two chargers, 2,640 Wh in total. Two of 48 V 17.5 Ah (840 Wh), the largest pack doppio itself supplied, and one of 48 V 20 Ah (960 Wh). In practice I get roughly 50-60 km per battery; doppio itself claimed up to 85 km with the smaller 672 Wh pack. One in the bike, two on the charger: you stop planning your day around range.
Comfort: comfort grips and comfort pedals from the Premium package, hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, a waterproof Knaap display, and the handlebars are set higher for a more upright position. You sit up, not bent over.
The paperwork is in order. The original December 2022 invoice comes with the bike and carries the frame number, so you can check it yourself in the Dutch stolen bike register before you pay.
And it can be tracked: the bike carries a Tracefy GPS module. You get the module number with the sale, so you put the subscription in your own name right away — about € 80 a year — and see your bike in the app. The battery sits on a Lockride lock, and the Abus Bordo Big X Plus folding lock with its frame holder comes with the bike.
Over four years this bike only got better, and every step is dated. Bought at doppio in December 2022 with the Premium package (840 Wh battery, comfort grips, comfort pedals), the handmade XL Buddyseat, the long rear rack, a front rack with box, two mirrors, the Boost button and a Tracefy GPS module. March 2023 the first service at doppio itself, with new rear brake pads. August 2023 warranty work at doppio: a new headlight. December 2023 the second service under the contract — that is when the off-road all-weather tyres and the Armour Layer anti-puncture belt went on. October 2024 the Lockride battery lock. Along the way came two more batteries, the waterproof display and a higher handlebar. Since July 2025 it goes to Fatdaddy for servicing. I am selling it because a new bike is coming; otherwise it would simply have stayed where it is. Now it should go to someone who will enjoy it as much as I did.
Honest about the rest: chain and cassette show wear.
New price was € 4,444. Odometer about 8,000 km. Ready to ride, everything works.
Pickup in Diemen. Send me a message for a test ride and bring someone along to sit on the back.
